I already have an HSBC Amanah Premier World Mastercard Credit Card-i, HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum Credit Card-i, and/or HSBC Amanah MPower Credit Card-i; will the new Charity Donation feature be available to me?
The new Charity Donation feature will be applicable to all new and existing HSBC Amanah Premier World Mastercard Credit Card-i, HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum Credit Card-i and HSBC Amanah MPower Credit Card-i holders, effective 14 December 2020.
Will I still earn Cash Back with my HSBC Amanah Premier World Mastercard Credit Card-i, HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum Credit Card-i, and/or HSBC Amanah MPower Credit Card-i?
Yes, you will still earn Cash Back as per existing terms; there is no change to the existing Cash Back feature for the above cards.
What is the Charity Donation feature?
For all transactions made under an eligible charity Merchant Category Code (MCC) (see FAQ No.9), we will make a Charity Donation to Selected Charity Organisations (see FAQ No.6), which is equivalent to 1% of the eligible charity spend, up to a maximum of RM 500,000 per year.

How is the 1% Charity Donation split among the Selected Charities?
The Charity Donation will be made on a quarterly basis to the Selected Charity Organization(s) and the amount of the Charity Donation will be equally divided amongst the Selected Charity Organization(s). Each Selected Charity Organization can receive Charity Donation up to a maximum annual limit of 15% of its gross annual income. An illustration is provided below on how the Charity Donation amount will be divided amongst the Selected Charity Organizations.

No. the transaction is not eligible for the 1% Charity Donation as the donation was not made under an eligible charity Merchant Category Code (MCC).

Yes, the total cap for the 1% Charity Donation is RM 500,000 per year.
How will I know the amount that is donated to the Selected Charity Organisations?
We will provide a notice, via our public website, on a yearly basis on the total amount donated to Selected Charity Organisations.
